America Society of Media Photographers - ASMP is the national organization for Magazine Photographers. Generally these are your better shooters as the organization charges some steep dues. They have a searchable data base of their members.

Professional Photographers of America - These tend to be your portrait & wedding photographers. They are great for doing your senior class photos but most are not who you want for your portfolio.

Global Photographers Search - A free site listing photographers and models with a searchable data base. You can check for fashion photographers for you area and find if they have web sites.

Imagesite - A free listing site of photographers and other creative professions. The site has a searchable data base but does not allow free URL listings. This is one of the more complete list of photographers but you have to get on the phone to find out any thing about them.

Photographer's Representives - These folks are reping the photogs you see in fashion magazines. The site show portfolios of these photographers work.
